Make Your Pet’s Stay Comfortable and Enjoyable

Cat and Dog Boarding Experts

Our staff has over 30 years of experience in pet care. The understanding of your pet’s needs and delivering of high-quality, customized care to every pet is a major concern of our staff. Our guests are encouraged to bring their pet’s favorite blanket and toys from home. These small touches add a sense of security and give our staff a fun way to interact with your pet.

Our indoor runs are spacious, come in two sizes, and feature heated floors. The sizes of the indoor runs are 4’ x 8’ and 4’ x 6’. Your pet will be exercised in an enclosed outdoor run that is covered for the fullest protection from the outdoor elements. Each pet is given five exercise periods per day.

Safety is a large part of our focus at Country Road Kennels. Our kennels are secure at all times. We check each pet in our care frequently to ensure that they are eating properly, drinking enough, and generally in good health and spirit.

Proof of vaccinations required by a veterinarian:
  • Rabies
  • Distemper / Parvo
  • Bordetella
  • Rabies
  • Distemper
We strongly recommend your pet is on heartworm and flea prevention.

Please use the following as a checklist to make sure your pet has everything it needs to have a happy, safe stay at Country Road Kennels.

  • Proof of vaccinations: On arrival, we need to verify when your pet was last immunized. The proof of vaccinations must be from a veterinarian. You can email the records to us at: CountryRoadKennels@yahoo.com, or you can bring a copy with you.
  • Emergency information: In case of an emergency with your pet, we will need to know who we can contact for assistance. Please bring the information of a friend / relative who could assist in an emergency or make a medical decision for your pet. If you have no one to contact locally, please have a number that you could be reached at on your trip.
  • Food: Please bring enough food for your pet’s entire visit with us. Changes in diet can cause stomach upset and add to the stress your pet may be feeling. Please bring food in a container that closes i.e. Ziploc bag, Rubbermaid container, etc. This way the food stays fresh and does not spill. If your dog requires special feeding, it is helpful for us if the food is labeled and put in individual plastic bags. Please bring the same kind of food that your pet has been eating at home. Treats are welcome and will be given as directed.
  • Medication: If your pet is on medication, please make sure to bring it with you in a prescription bottle. Please make sure the instructions for administering the medication is on the bottle. If it is not, you will be asked to provide hand-written instructions as to how your pet is accustomed to receiving their medication and at what time(s). If you wrap the medication in cheese, lunch meat, wet food, etc., please bring enough along to give to your pet with the medication. Do not leave loose pills in the dog’s food.
  • Blankets: Machine washable blankets are welcome. Make sure any blankets you bring are ones you will not be upset about if your pet chews or soils them. Please think safety when bringing blankets. Remember if it is something like an Afghan or a woven rag rug, dogs can chew the strings and swallow them which can become a hazard to their health. Dog beds are only accepted for arthritic dogs.
  • Toys: Dog toys that are hand or machine washable are welcome.
  • Flea and Heartworm Prevention: It is highly recommended that your pet is on flea and heartworm prevention.
At the time of drop off, you will be asked to fill out and sign a boarding contract.

"Thank you so much for taking care of our "poopie". I know how hard it is to leave a loved one behind but we cannot take her everywhere. She is so happy to be home but  we are even happier that you all took such wonderful care of her! Thanks again."

"I have to write and say thank you, thank you, thank you! You were there when we needed you the most. I truly appreciate the tour of your wonderful facility and it put me at ease knowing someone would be checking in on Jack several times a day, even in the evening. Jack took to you right away, which never happens, and I loved the idea that he would have his own special "outside time." Thank you for giving me the peace of mind I needed knowing Jack and his needs would be taken care of as you would your own. I cannot leave him with just anyone, and now we have a place we can trust. Thank you again!"
